WCSU’s Master of Fine Arts Program is hosting a reading series every night from Sunday, August 3rd until Wednesday, August 6th. The readings will showcase MFA program graduates along with other professional creative writers.
These free events are a great way to plug into the innovative and multi-faceted literature being produced in Connecticut today.
All events are held at WCSU’s Westside Campus (43 Lake Avenue Extension, Danbury) at 7PM in the Classroom Building with the exception of Tuesday’s reading, which will be held at Alumni Hall on the Midtown campus.
The scheduled readers are as follows:
Joe Ahearn, author of “Five Fictions” and “synthetic” and a mentor in the MFA program.
Alexis Fedorjaczenko (MFA Program Graduate)
Elizabeth Cohen, professor of creative writing at SUNY Plattsburgh and author of “The Hypothetical Girl,” which was chosen as book of the week by Oprah magazine.
David Griffith (MFA Program Graduate)
Dana Jenkins (MFA Program Graduate)
Tim Weed, author of “Will Poole’s Island”
Jenn Powers (MFA Program Graduate)
