A new study on arsenic contamination in groundwater was recently featured on WNPR. The research is being conducted in Lebanon, CT by ECSU Professor Meredith Metcalf and her undergraduate research assistant Laura Markley.
The study will help protect Connecticut towns from arsenic contamination by discovering how water flows underground. By knowing this, it can be better understood when and how arsenic gets into groundwater. They are using a combination of water testing, drill reports, and historic water quality data to get the full picture on arsenic.
